Bill Nelson
Achievements: September 2007 was inducted to Minnesota Baseball Hall of Fame.
Nelson, currently the manager of the Dundas Dukes, has been involved in Minnesota amateur baseball as a player, manager and board member since 1970. He started his career with the Hayward, MN town team and had short stints with Dick’s Place of Columbia Heights and the Burnsville Bobcats. The rest of his baseball career has been with the Dundas Dukes. While winning four state championships and finishing second five times in twenty five years as a player and manager, Nelson also spearheaded a complete renovation of the Dundas Ballpark...long time Head Baseball coach at Carelton College (Northfield, MN).
Awarded the coveted "Mike Downes Memorial Award" in 2006. The award represents outstanding service to Minnesota Amateur Baseball and was presented for only the 26th time since 1981.
