CHASKA, Minn. - Brandon Rolloff and Todd Mathison each went 2-for-5, Javy Guevara 2-for-3 and Steve Loos belted a two-run homer to lead Dundas past host Chaska 8-3 on Saturday in the first round of the Class B State Tournament.

With the win, the Dukes (32-11) will advance to the double-elimination portion of the tournament and will play the winner of Sunday's first round game between Eagan and Coon Rapids. Chaska was eliminated with the loss.

Tony LePage earned the win, throwing 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief of Dundas starter Jeff Deuth. Deuth allowed two runs in four innings of work.

Hastings draftee Mark Moriarty tossed the final 1 2/3 innings for the Dukes, who have won five straight.

Loos' homer broke a 2-2 tie in the third inning. The Dukes added two in the sixth on two-out hits by Robin Moore, Rolloff and Mathison's two-RBI double. In the eighth, Dundas capitalized on the third Chaska error with the bases loaded to score its seventh and eighth runs.
