Dukes 2008 CCVL Champs!!!

Dukes use an 8-run 5th inning to topple the Cannon Falls Bears in a CCVL league match-up today with a final score of 10-3.
Dukes left-hander Matt Neuger extended his record to 9-0 defeating one of the league's top left-hander's, Keith Meyers. Neuger held the Bears to 4 hits total on the day.
The Bears held a 3 run lead going into the 5th inning until Meyers had an errant throw down the left field line attempting to get a runner at 3rd. This play allowed 2 runs to score and then the Dukes stormed to score 6 more runs for an 8 run inning.
The Dukes win today wraps up the CCVL league championship and top seed in the Class 'B' section. Dundas will host the Class 'B' section Playoffs starting Saturday, August 2nd. This is the second consecutive year Dundas has hosted the section playoffs.
