Big rally, Neuger get Dukes past Minnetonka
JULY 16, 2010 - DUNDAS, Minn. - Dundas scored six in the sixth inning and Matt Neuger scattered nine hits and five earned runs in a complete game win to help the host Dukes defeat Class A power Minnetonka 11-6 on Friday night at Memorial Park.
Minnetonka had leads of 3-0 and 4-2 before the Dukes' big rally.
The Dukes did most of the damage in the sixth with two outs. After plating the first run on a leadoff solo homer by Steve Loos, Minnetonka starter Donny Erdahl had two outs when Carson Jones hit a two-run double. Brandon Rolloff and Mike Ludwig then added back-to-back RBI hits to make it 8-4.
Carson Jones went 3-for-4 while Rolloff and Tyler Jones were each 2-for-5 for the Dukes (29-7), who have won four in a row and 17 of their last 18.
Joe Abellara was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer to lead Minnetonka (30-7).
Dundas hosts Miesville on Sunday at 2 p.m. on Nerstrand Meats Hawai'ian Day and Fan Appreciation Day.
