Jones' throw preserves win over Shakopee
AUGUST 3, 2010 - DUNDAS, Minn. - Carson Jones' outfield assist from centerfield to the plate ended the game to preserve a 9-8 Dundas win over visting Shakopee on Tuesday night at Memorial Park..
Jones added a 3-for-5 night offensively as he scored four times, including a run in the bottom of the eighth that gave Dundas a 9-7 advantage.
Brandon Rolloff, who worked the ninth inning on the mound to get the save, went 3-for-4 while Todd Mathison also had three hits, going 3-for-5.
Shakopee was led by Brandon Olson's 2-for-5 night. Olson scored twice and drove in a run.
The win was the final tuneup for Dundas, which begins section play on Saturday at Red Wing in the first game of a best-of-five series.
