Dundas Down Austin 6-2
Submitted by Dukes Update on July 1, 2009 - 10:00pm.Dundas took advantage of errors by the Greyhounds in the 6th and 7th innings to defeat Austin 6-2. Dundas got hits out of 7 of the 10 batters they sent to the plate. M ike Ludwig, Rich Bordas, Jake Anderson and Robin Moore all had two hits apiece. Drew Anderson pitched 6 full innings only giving up 1 run on 3 hit to get the win for the Dukes. Aaron Troyansky and Brandon Rolloff closed out the game.
Dundas improves to 17-5 on the season.

Dundas Gets Big CCVL Win over Miesville
Submitted by Dukes Update on June 29, 2009 - 12:49pm.The Dundas Dukes completed a weekend sweep of Rochester and Miesville Sunday afternoon at Miesville. In Miesville, the Dukes jumped out to a 3-0 lead after six innings and held on to win 3-2. Matt Neuger was the winning pitcher throwing five and one third innings. Paul Dimick earned the save throwing the last three and two thirds innings. Neuger gave up no runs on six hits three strikeouts and seven walks. Dimick gave up two runs in the eighth on back to back Miesville doubles and a ground out, however, he pitched a one, two , three ninth inning. He finished allowing two runs on two hits no walks and three strikeouts.
For the Dukes, Carson Jones had two hits and scored twice. Tyler Jones and Javy Guevara also had two hits and an RBI apiece. Steve Loos singles in the third run with two out in the sixth.
This win moved the Dukes to 5-2 in the Classic Cannon Valley League and 16-5 overall. Miesville drops to 6-4 in CCVL action.

Dundas Defeats Rochester 8-4
Submitted by Dukes Update on June 29, 2009 - 12:46pm.On Friday the Dukes led Rochester 6-0 before allowing them to get back in the game with three runs in the seventh and another in the eighth. The Dukes responded with a run in the seventh and eighth of their own. Javy Guevara, Tyler Jones and Josh Maus all had two RBI to lead a 13 hit attack.
Aaron Troansky had another good outing for the Dukes throwing six and two thirds innings. Paul Dimick finished up allowing one run in two and one third innings. Maus and Mike Ludwig both had three hits for the Dukes.

Dukes Drop a Close Game to Chicago Wildcats 6-4
Submitted by Dukes Update on June 26, 2009 - 6:17pm.Dundas got up early when they scored two runs in the 1st inning. Chicago took advantage of Dukes errors and hit batters and took the lead for good in the 5th. Dundas’ hitting was led by Brandon Rolloff who went 3-4 with one walk.

Dundas Consolation Champs in Dewey Tauer Tournament
Submitted by Dukes Update on June 22, 2009 - 10:17am.The Dundas Dukes finished the Red Wing Tournament as the Consolation Champions by defeating Hampton 13-1. Hampton jumped to a 1-0 first inning lead but it was all Dukes after that. For the second day in a row, it was the Brandon Rolloff show. He hit two doubles and a single driving in five runs on the day. Rolloff finished the tournament 8-13 with four doubles, a triple and one HR. Rolloff was also added to the all-tournament team for his performance. The Dukes ended the game on the ten run rule in the bottom of the seventh inning on a Mike Ludwig walk off grand slam. Tyler Jones was 3-5 with three RBI and Rich Bordas had two hits.
Matt Neuger moved to 3-0 on the year with the victory. He allowed five hits while walking two and striking out six.

Rolloff hits for the cycle as the Dukes down the Railcats
Submitted by Dukes Update on June 20, 2009 - 9:21pm.After suffering a 5-2 setback to Red Wing on Friday night, the Dukes came out swinging on Saturday afternoon. They scored eight runs in the first inning and went on to earn a 10-0 seven inning win against Randolph. Brandon Rolloff started the game off with a single, scored later on a Rich Bordas two-run single. He continued the inning later with a three run triple and scored on Ethan Guevin's single. In the third Rolloff hit a solo HR to account for run number nine. In the fifth he doubled to complete in cycle in only four at bats. He finished the day with four hits, four runs scored and four runs batted in.
Paul Dimick threw the four hit shutout. He finished with no walks and five strikeouts. Matt Neuger went one for one.
Dundas will be playing in the Consolation Game of the Dewey Tauer Tournament at 11:00 AM Sunday vs the Northfield/Hampton winner.

Submitted by Dukes Update on June 14, 2009 - 4:33pm.Dundas got on the board with 5 runs and 5 hits while capitalizing on 2 errors in the 3rd inning. All nine Dundas batters got hits in the win. Neuger pitched 6 full before Drew Johnson came in the finish the game.
Dundas will be playing Red Wing again on Friday at 6:00 PM in the Dewey Tauer Red Wing Tournament.
